M+J ~ Coffs Harbour Engagement Photos

Coffs Harbour Wedding Photographer

As a Coffs Harbour harbour wedding photographer, I love discovering the coast and photographing in new areas.  Last weekend I went to the sleepy beach town of Red Rock to meet up with Mahli & James.  I'm a huge fan of at least meeting your wedding photographer prior to booking them, even better if you can get some photos so you know how they work and their style.  Your wedding photographer is someone who will be hanging around for pretty much all of your wedding day, so it's super important that you get along well.  Catching up for a coffee or even better, an engagement shoot is a great way to make sure we gel.

I met these two legends just before sunset on a cracking Sunday afternoon.  We had a few beers and got to know each other before walking along the boardwalk for a few photos.

I truly believe that my number 1 strength as a photographer is getting to know people, which means they relax and we have a great time. Having some random dude stick a camera in your face can be a little awkward. But by getting to know you, the awkwardness disappears and we can create awesome images. For these photos I used my new camera, a tiny little Fuji X-T30. It’s similar in size to an old point and shoot camera and I think the small size is a little less intimidating for people too.

If you’re engaged and you like what you see, contact me here and we can chat about your engagement photos and wedding.
