C+M Eco Studio Fellini Gold Coast Wedding
I got the call up to shoot Cath and Mick’s wedding at Eco Studio Fellini only a few months ago, but from my first conversation with Cath I knew this was going to be a fun wedding. They both come from big families, and big families usually means big parties!
Cath & Mick were meant to have their wedding at the Binna Burra Lodge, which tragically burned down in the late 2019 fires. Luckily there was enough time between then and the wedding to relocate to the beautiful Eco Studio Fellini at Mudgeeraba on the Gold Coast. Eco Studio Fellini is an all in one venue; ceremony, reception and even accommodation are all on site.
Both Cath and Mick started the day at the on site lodges. The lodges are beautifully surrounded by tall trees, bushes and creeks. A beautiful relaxing spot to wake up at on or after your wedding day.
There was wine (for the girls), beer (for the guys…. including me) and plenty of laughter whilst everyone was getting ready. The getting ready period is one of my favourite parts of a wedding day. There’s usually some nerves, masked by laughter, hugs and high fives.
The ceremony was held on site at the beautiful arbour and officiated by Kim-Maree Summers.
After the ceremony we took a stroll around the grounds for some bridal photos. My bride and groom photos are super casual. It’s one of the only parts of the day where the bride and groom can be alone together. It’s a great chance to take half an hour out of the day to just be alone with each other. During today’s couple photos, I took some photos of Mick and Cath and left them alone for a few minutes. I managed to capture Mick wiping a tear from his eye. Could have also been the sweat on this hot and humid day!
The Eco Studio Fellini reception venue has room for a dance floor, but there is also an outdoor dance floor under fairy lights which is stunning on a clear night.
The night ended with some dancing, cake and bouquet toss and finally the garter removal which received plenty of laughter.
