I was super excited to meet up with Regan & Kyle for their pre wedding photos in Grafton a few weeks back. These guys have booked me in for their Grafton wedding next year so this was a great chance to catch up, have a few drinks and capture some fun times.

I’ve driven past this pine forest a few times recently and have wanted to take a couple there for a shoot.  The weather was perfect and Regan & Kyle were absolutely amazing.  Super chilled, they bought champagne and beer and were up for a good time!  With the amazing weather, I was also able to put the drone up and capture the landscape that we were in.

If you’ve been following me over the last few months you might have noticed that I’m moving more toward being a ‘mixed media’ wedding photographer - boring name, but exciting concept.  Essentially I’m wanting to deliver more than just photos for my couples.  Photos are great, but video is better.  And sound is even better than that.  Combining photo, video and audio is my goal as I believe this is the best way to tell a story.  For this session I recorded some video on the drone which adds a sense of movement and scale to the engagement session.  Combined with these fun images and a banging track, the video below is something I’m really happy with.

Finding the right music, colouring the video and photos, and putting everything together is much more complicated than just editing photos but I think the end result is worth it.  Check out the finished product below and keep scrolling to see more from this Grafton engagement session below.
