Green Cathedral Tiona Wedding
There’s so much to say about Courtney & Ricky’s Green Cathedral, Tiona Wedding. When they enquired, I’d never head of Green Cathedral, so I jumped straight on google and was blown away with what I saw. Right on the edge of the lake and surrounded by tall trees, it’s one of the most stunning ceremony locations I’ve been to. Needless to say, I was happy dancing when they booked me - not just for the venue, but Courtney and Ricky are down to earth legends who I was pumped to spend the day with.
Tiona, just south of Forster, is an amazing location for a wedding. It’s a thin strip of land with the ocean on one side, the lake on the other and the Tiona Holiday Park in the middle. The Tiona Holiday Park has houses for hire, cabins and the normal holiday park facilities. There’s nothing else around which means you are there to celebrate, relax and nothing else - absolute perfection.
Courtney and Ricky decided to do a ‘First Look’. I’ve only photographed a few first looks but I absolutely love them. It’s a chance to see each other before the ceremony, get over the initial nerves and have a quiet moment to yourselves before all of the formalities. One thing about the typical wedding day is, it’s a celebration of love for two people, but rarely do those two people actually get to spend any time just on their own. A first look gives you a little of that time.
With Ricky facing the lake, Courtney walked out from the trees, tapped Ricky on the shoulder and he turned around to see his stunning wife to be. They hugged, kissed and said some words to each other.
Despite the overcast day, the ceremony at Green Cathedral was as beautiful as the photos I’d seen. Trying to explain how beautiful this place is will not do it justice… scroll down to see for yourself.
