Brodee & Tom's Scotts Head Wedding

When Brodee and Tom first contacted me and said their wedding was in Scotts Head, I had to jump on Google to find out where it was.  Scotts Head is a cute little beach town on the NSW Mid North Coast - not much to it other than a bowling club, a few shops and the Surf Club.  A perfect little place for a wedding where everyone can come for a few days, switch off and celebrate.

Brodee & Tom are both beach lovers and were determined to start the day with a swim in the ocean.

The girls got ready in an Airbnb right on the ocean.  Although the rain was a little disappointing, there was plenty of champagne, music and laughter to keep them going.

The weather on the east coast of Australia has been pretty hectic over the last few weeks and despite a few breaks in the rain and some promising blue sky, the ceremony had to be moved inside to at the Scotts Head Surf Club.  Now, I consider myself somewhat of a surf club connoisseur and I can confirm that the Scotts Head Surf Club is an absolute banger.  A great space for the formalities, plus the extended bar area has been nicely done.  Find your favourite caterer and they can use the surf club kitchen!

We had a little break in the rain for a few photos of the bridal party but then had to rush back to the surf club as the rain started again.  By that time the bar was open.  This was one of the first weddings I’ve shot since the covid restrictions in NSW had lifted and it was great to be somewhat back to normal.  The drinks were flowing and the dance floor was charged!

Brodee, Tom and all their friends were amazing company and it was an absolute privilege to hang out with them on their wedding day.
