Woolgoolga Surf Club - The Newest Coffs Harbour Wedding Venue

There’s a number of great Coffs Harbour wedding venues to choose from, however the beautiful little coastal town of Woolgoolga - just up the road - hasn’t had a lot of options.  But that’s now changed thanks to the brand new Woolgoolga Surf Club.  It’s now open and taking bookings for 2021.

Woolgoolga (Woopi to the locals) is a gorgeous beachside town with everything you need for a perfect wedding weekend.  Fantastic cafes, restaurants, plenty of accommodation options and of course, amazing beaches.

Fittingly called ‘Number 1 Ocean St’, the upstairs function area has been built with weddings in mind.  I was lucky enough to check it out before opening and if you are looking for a wedding venue in the Coffs Harbour region, this has to be at the top of your list.

NSW Mid North Coast Wedding Venue

Perched right by the sand of Woolgoolga’s Main Beach, the venue is filled with natural light and offers uninterrupted sweeping ocean views.  The venue has capacity up to 220 seated guests and can be configured in different ways to suit your style and headcount.

The balcony is a great spot for guests to mingle with a few drinks and watch the waves come in.

There are plenty of other Coffs Harbour wedding venues, however I can’t think of any that have a beach front position and let you bring your own alcohol.  Yep, there’s a kitted out bar that just needs you to fill it with your own beer and wine.  This is a great way to save a few dollars and also to ensure you have the drinks you want.

Plus you can also cater yourself!  This mid north coast wedding venue has built a brand new commercial kitchen for your caterer to use.  Again, this gives you great flexibility in food choice and budget that is hard to find at other wedding venues.

From a photography point of view, there are stunning locations just a few minutes’ walk away from the venue.  This allows us to get some lovely photos of you and your bridal party (if you want them) and get straight back to the party.

Many Coffs Harbour Wedding Venues have curfews early in the night, but the Woolgoolga Surf Club has a 11.30pm curfew for music and guests.

For your ceremony, there are plenty of beautiful locations nearby.  Either right on the beach, up on the headland or lookout or if you want to be surrounded by tall trees, head just 15 minutes inland to the appropriately named ‘Wedding Bells’ State Forest.  All can be hired for a small fee from the Coffs Harbour Council.

There are plenty of accomodation options for you and your guests dotted throughout Woolgoolga.  From beachside studios to 5 bedroom houses overlooking the ocean, you are sure to find something for everyone.  Check out the best Airbnb options here.

I can’t wait to photograph some epic weddings at this brand new Coffs Harbour wedding venue, so if you are planning to get married there, or anywhere else in the region please get in touch with me here.
